3 Ways to (Pumpkin) Spice Up Your Space for Autumn

Leaves are falling, there's a chilly breeze in the air, and when clouds roll over we remember to cherish every ray of warm sunshine that dances across our skin.

Sweaters, boots, and scarves are being pulled out of storage while shorts and tank tops go to the back of the closet for their annual hibernation. And while we're falling into our Autumn wardrobe, here are some ways you can add a little theatrical decoration to your home or office to fit the season, too!

1. Cue Lights!

Candles add a sweet scent of warmth when added to centerpieces or displays, and a touch of natural elements to the space. The calming, flickering lights sets a relaxing mood and sets the stage to hold the wintery cold at bay for a little while longer. Not to mention, only using candles (fire or battery powered) to light a room for movies is sure to set the spooky mood for Halloween horror fun! Scented candles like Apple Pie, Pumpkin Spice, and Cinnamon are all delicious scents that will add a welcoming touch to your set and choosing natural, locally-sourced beeswax candles support local business and the environment.

2. Branch Out!

'Tis the season to rake lawns of all the leaves falling from trees, meaning there are many a bare branch lying about to be scooped up and arranged for a fun DIY wreath, vase decoration or an indoor forest set-design. Adding pumpkins and DIY crafts made with those beautifully fallen red and golden leaves not only bring the beauty indoors but are also an excellent waste-free option since they eliminate the need to find store-bought plastic décor that may end up in landfill.

3. Drink Up!

Sit back and relax with a nice warm cup of traditional Apple Cider! Follow this DIY recipe to add a warm, festive touch to your autumn-themed home or office environment for a sweet-smelling treat that'll be inviting and cozy for the whole family! It's also the perfect evening beverage to sip in front of a fire or movie with your loved ones with a dash of your rum of choice added!

Every home needs a little theatrical touch to get into the spirit of the spooky autumn season and these tips are just the ticket to get you started! With friends and family joining in, DIY recipes and crafts are a great way to bring everyone together to enjoy the season before winter! Have Fun!
